I first noticed this when trying to update to latest iho build and see it with other files. If I download something to my sd card as soon as I reboot or go into recovery the file gets deleted. I tried to transfer from my Pc and the same thing happens. Any suggestions on what to do? Btw all my old files stay on card its just the new ones

Never heard of this, are you sure the files have transferred there successfully in the first place? Try long pressing on them in a file manager and select properties to see if they have a file size and are not just links.

How do you transfer them to your sdcard? (please be specific)

How do you reboot, and how do you reboot into recovery? (please be specific)

What recovery are you using?

What file types?

Do you use anything like links2sd, data2ext, DT's a2sd, etc?

I transfer by putting phone in Usb mode and drag and drop from Pc to sd card, I wait until it completes then disconnect phone from Pc. File manager shows that it is sd card. I reboot and go to recovery by holding power button and select either one. I also try downloading in opera and it shows there until reboot, the first file I noticed was the newest iho but it happens with any file be it a picture ive taken mp3 apk etc. I use link2sd

Agreed ^ it does happen . Ive had few of my cards fail on me ... especially the amazon or ebay ones.

hi friend,

There are many reasons for SD card corruption and data deletion even after rebooting SD cards.SD card gets corrupted due to virus attacks, human errors, hardware malfunctioning, abrupt shutdowns and many other reasons. In all such cases you may lose your photo files, music and videos. You might be thinking the data is gone forever and you will not be able to recover it back. But by using a sd card recovery software you can easily recover corrupted data. For more information you can check this link:SD Card Recovery Software - Software to Recover SD Card Photos. You can easily download the free trial version of the software.
