How Often do You Use the Telephoto Lens on your 9 Pro or 9 Pro XL?

I'm still using my trusty Pixel 5a. I've never had a phone with a telephoto lens. I can think of a few instances when I wished I had a telephoto lens--pics of wildlife, at a concert, sporting event, etc.--but for the most part I'm point and shoot.

Those of you that have the 9 Pro or the 9 Pro XL, how important is the telephoto lens to you?

For example, do you:

* Use the telephoto a lot (several times a week.)
* Played around with the telephoto lens for the first week or two and have only used it a couple time since.
* Checked out the telephoto lens when I first got my new phone but I've never used it since.

Also, what are some situations where you use the telephoto lens?

Only when I'm trying to figure out an animal in the next hill. Maybe 4 times?

I use it quite often. For work, looking at part numbers on seals etc. When out hiking, to get long range shots. For me, it gets used a lot.

I use it a lot, and not just for long-range shots. I often use it if I want a closeup of something without having to shove the phone right up close. Since my wife usually had the non-Pro Pixel, we often could see how handicapped her camera was without a telephoto when we're out travelling, compared to mine. Now that she has a Pixel 9 Pro (I have the 9 Pro XL), she can really feel the difference!

I think the telephoto lens is one of those things where you probably won't miss it too much in day-to-day life , but if you do need it, you'll really miss it.

For myself, these situations are usually events you mentioned such as concerts or holidays. Even though these may only happen a few times a year, they were moments when I wished I had a stronger zoom lens than the one on my phone at the time rather than having to resort to digital zoom.
