sd card issue

i have bought HTC 816 before month. I t is nice phone but when I trtied to move or copy files from internal memory to external SDCARD. it is not working. please guide what to do

Welcome to Android Central! What Android version is it running? If it's KitKat, it may be that the app you're using to try to move files to the SD card doesn't have the proper permissions, since KitKat tightened the security around SD cards.

Otherwise, are you sure the phone is detecting the SD card? Go to Settings>Storage, and make sure it lists the external SD card.
