Anyone have any idea why the phone keeps blowing SD cards. My 2nd card is now ruined. I can't even read it in my PC. Help.

Where do you buy your SD cards, how many times have they been written or rewritten to, are they used SD cards, etc?

I bought the first from best buy. The 2nd from amazon. Both new cards. They were fine until a reboot. Called Verizon. They blame the cards.

I never had any luck with the online ones to be honest. Got burned twice. Definitely sounds like the cards. How old are they though, and how used are they? They can only be written to or overwritten an undefined, finite number of times and they will crap out on you.

First one was 2 days. Second one maybe a month and a half old.

Thought so, Sandisk is having trouble with there cards failing in phones. Contact them for a replacement.

up, contact Sandisc...they just replaced a 32 GB card I had that I couldn't format. They were pretty easy to deal with too

Yup, I had the same problem. Bought a 32 gig class 10 sandisk from amazon. Worked about a month, then crapped out. Sent it back to amazon no problems. I got a replacement from Best Buy, hopefully it will last long term.

Will they replace it w/o sending the bad one back?

Why keep it? It's no good.

I had a Costco Sandisk 32gig HC go bad on me. I'll try Costco for a replacement first. If not there, then I'll contact Sandisk.
I just ordered a Sandisk 64gig XC card that shouldn't require formatting in the GS3. We'll see how that works.

EDIT: I called Sandisk Tech support @ 866-726-3475 and got an RMA#.
They're sending me a new card.

I want to keep it because on the off chance they can read it, there is personal data on it that I would prefer not get into their hands.
