Hi all. I have an HTC 10 on Verizon. I bought the phone during the original May release, and have recently been having problems with getting prompts about my SD card being "missing" even when it's plugged in.
My card is SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC UHS-I, Class 10. I set it up to run as Adoptable Storage. Apps are on my hard drive, while Music, Photos and video are saved on the card. Now with these issues, it's becoming increasingly difficult to use the camera, listen to tunes, etc.
Is this an Android issue? An HTC issue? An adoptable storage issue? And what is the best solution here - backup the card on my PC and reformat? I'm really hoping to avoid replacing a $40 SD card that's only three months old.
Finally, my last question - if I re-format, would using the card as External (rather than Adoptable) Storage lead to a noticeable performance lag?
