SD card problem

Galaxy s5 model SM-G900F not reading SD card.
I did this and still not fixed ...If your Galaxy S5 does not recognize that your SD memory card is plugged in, turn off your phone, remove the battery and try reinserting the memory card. When reinserting your memory card make sure that the gold contact pins are facing downward.
Card works on other device S7. Cant find "format card" on S5 menu.
Connected USB cable with Win Explorer but only reads "phone" .
Suggestions will be appreciated.

Considering it's an 8 year old phone it's very well possible the SD card reader quit working, do you have any other cards you can test in the phone?

You could try cleaning the contacts with a little isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud.
