SD Card scanner

Someone told me that one could use an sd card scanner to scan the sd card for errors and redo some file system setting to a higher cache size or something. Does any of this make sense to anyone?

Yep, I figured the salesclerk from BB was making stuff up. I hadn't heard of an app that scans the card from the phone either. Thanks.

If you hook up the phone to a PC via USB cord and mount the card as a drive, you can scan the card with the PC.
