AC Question

Does lg g6 supports sd card in exfat format or just fat 32?
And, does it have flex/adoptable storage?

Can't help with the format question, but it doesn't look like adoptable storage is an option on my Verizon G6. The whole concept of tying an SD Card into the system storage makes me hesitant anyways, removing the SD Card or if it has any problems could cause problems with the phone. I just use my SD Card for media and camera storage, which helps keep the onboard storage free enough for apps, at least for me.

Jerry wrote a good article explaining the concept and potential problems of adoptable storage:

I can't answer whether the G6 supports exfat or not; however adoptable storage can be enabled through developer options and using some command line functions via ADB, but unless you're using a top end high speed SD card it's not worth it. I'd argue it's not worth it anyway but that's just me.

Somethings wrong because I have about 20,000 mp3's on my sd card playing just fine. Have you reformated the card in the G6?

yes mate i forgot to mention that. and do you have the sdcard symbol at the top off your phone.

I had it up top the first time I plugged it in and havent seen it since then. It gave me a notification to manage my files which I swiped away and its never came back.

I formatted both my cards after installing them in the G6 and havent had any issues, especially with MP3's. Not sure why your's would be unable to recognize them.

Have you tried a different music player?

Samsung Evo+. It can keep up with the camera and has no issues with music. One of the highest rated cards out there and has a nice warranty. 128gb is $54.99 at Best Buy 64gb is $27.99.

I was having issues with my PNY Extreme where pictures would get royally screwed up and switched to the EVO+. Zero problems at all.
