On my samsung galaxy s3 i have no SD card in it. But when i go into the battery menu the SD card usage is up at 40% and this is causing massive battery drain. Is there any way i can fix this?

Have you tried rebooting the phone?
It's possible that you have some corrupted media (pictures/videos/music) causing the system to constantly rescan the internal memory - you could try copying off all of that content and then deleting it from the phone.
