Yeah, they don't mention it, so it must be a mistake...According to the GSMarena spec page for the Pixel it lists a microSD card slot. Is that a mistake?
With the unlimited full cloud storage for full res pics/vids, is it really that much of an issue?
Granted, someone who is never ever within range of a wifi signal might find issue with it, I think the storage issue is significantly mitigated by the cloud storage offer.
I know! I'm definitely thinking about getting it just due to the quicker cameraBesides that wow what a phone!
The problem with relying on cloud storage is when you're traveling. Data roaming is so expensive it's not an option and dumping hundreds of high-res pictures and videos to the cloud using crappy hotel Wi-fi can be a huge pain in the ***.
MicroSD is very handy for travel.

Why would you need to dump high res photos while travelling? Are the pictures that important to be backed up so quick if the wifi is that poor? Genuine question, I have never had that issue in the past.
edit...do not get me wrong I would love it to have a SD slot
Huh? In my experience, Cloud Storage is the biggest benefit when travelling. Because it's a convenient dump repository for all your pics.
But even without a wifi hotspot to dump all your data, it's still a non issue.
Suppose you're out on Safari in South Africa where there's ZERO WiFi... with 32GB on a phone with a 12MP camera, you can store over 7k pics/photos. How many pics do you actually need to take before you eventually wind up at a WiFi hotspot? And even if you never ran across a WiFi hotspot until you got home... do you really think you'd hit the 7k pics/photos mark? And let's be generous... let's say you only have 1/2th that storage space left before you even left... are you worried about hitting the 3.5k pics limit? Even if your phone was down to 1 quarter it's storage space, that's still 1,750 pics you can take. How many do you need before requiring a WiFi hotspot?
It can be the best phone out there. It only being on verizon is a huge dealbreaker. Not even going to consider it now.
7000 pics on a 32gb phone? Not a chance!! First of all you won't get the full 32GB as the OS and music etc will eat up a fair bit of that. On my LG G5 I have all my music and photos/video go to the SD card. Even with that the device storage has 15gb available out of 32GB.
I just came back from a 10 day trip to the UK. I took about 1500 photos/videos on my phone. That used up about 10GB. Sometimes I go on longer trips or take more video. You're kidding yourself if you think you'll get 7000 pics on a 32gb phone.
And again, good luck dumping high-res photos and especially video to the cloud on some public wifi hotpot. I know from experience.
