Sorry if this has been addressed but is there a known issue with not being able to transfer data to the scard? I've seen others with the problem but can't find a clear answer if there is a fix to this yet. Any help would be appreciated.

I just got my S3 yesterday. I put a 32GB SD card in it, and it recognizes and formatted the card, but I can't seem to move any apps to it. I.e., on my Epic 4G, in App Manager, there was an option to move to SD card. I can't find that how to do that (only the uninstall options).

Am I missing something?

You cannot move apps to SD card with this phone. Supposedly they allotted more memory in the internal storage for apps (compared to the Epic 4G)

Also, the path for the external SD card changed to: /mnt/extSdCard

So if you use any camera apps and want to store pics on the SD card, you have to use the above path (same with music)

Ok so looks like it's just a different a way of handling data storage... Any suggestions on getting my music (from Google Music) on to my SDcard? I let GM download the entire library (about 5 gb) but it saves on the phone, not the SDcard. Can I move the directory manually?

You can use a file manager like Astro to move it to the SD card. New path for SD card is:

/mnt/extSdCard

You can also check to see if your music player will let you change the default download path.

I can't seem to figure out how to move my downloaded Rhapsody tracks to my SD card. The tracks are taking up a good 6 GB of the 16 GB I have. This is so frustrating, I have a 32GB SD card in my S3 and I can't seem to use it. Uggg anyone that has Rhapsody and knows what to do please let me know.

Why in the world would Samsung make it impossible to move apps to SD????? Stupidist move I have ever seen!!!!

One of my favorite apps was App 2 SD. However, it doesn't work with the GSIII (nor my Transformer TF300T). Sam Lu, the App 2 SD developer, explained that the GSIII recognizes the microSD card as an external drive. "It's the problem of hardware. Nothing we can do about this. Please contact Manufacture for details."

I emailed him and asked why he couldn't update the app to allow us to choose the path (extsdcard) for moving the apps and basically got the same reply from him.

Hopefully, if AZSoft doesn't come up with something, someone else will...and soon. At least my 32GB SIII gives me plenty of memory to download all the apps I want. And MyBackup Pro, GO Backup and App List Backup keep everything backed up on my microSD card.

Ok guys I have a little problem and I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I downloaded some music yesterday. They all show up on my phone BUT when I'm connect the phone to my PC, I ONLY see half of the files on my PC. I have tried multiple PC's and same thing. Is this formatting problem with my SDcard?? How can I view these "invisible" files without having to reformat my card??
