Android Central Question

I found 'Occidental Heroes' and was so surprised by how it fit the classic D&D feel with a world map, cities, random encounters, and very basic party management. Unfortunately no magic, no leveling customization, and no inventory and only basic equipment. Though it was fun, it lacks gteatly.

I am however more surprised there is none that lean more D&D in feel! I want items, inventory, classes, and character customization. I imagine a game like that and Knight of Pen and Paper 2 would not be hard to make and it just seems so obvious a thing to be wanted and in demand, yet I have found nothing of its kind. I cannot believe the millions of geeks in this world have not made this kind of game.

I just want an RPG that is 16 bit with allot of content, a world map, cities, party dynamics, custom characters, classes, loads of items and equipment, turn based combat, and D&D style random encounters with lots of things to fight with a variety of styles. I tried the different nethack and netwiz or pixel rpgs and was not too impressed... I need more then a grind crawler.

Is there a rogue/rogue-like RPG with these attributes I am not finding? That is perhaps so indie and underground I can't find it in the stinky pile of Google's priority listings for recommendations and hypes? Help me out here guys, where is my game and please tell me i don't have to make it from scratch to feel at peace with myself at night.

Also I have played Baldurs gate 1 and 2, icewind Dale, neverwinter nights, pool of radiance, temple of elemental evil, and pillars of eternity.

I just want 16 bit and if mobile? It would be even more wanted.

I'm not familiar with D&D, but Vampire's Fall: Origins RPG sounds like it'll fit many of your requests. I've been playing it a lot lately and really enjoying it despite not being a big fan of vampires myself.

It's reminiscent of old school turn based RPG's, and has a lot of humor in the dialog.

It's so bad that at one job we had an employee who was a "Player". That was her job title. We wrote the games, she tried to break them. We wouldn't play them, we were programmers, not gamers. (I still don't, I have no interest in it. Even though my wife always had all 10 of her characters at the current top level in World of Warcraft.)

It's more 8-bit, but Doom & Destiny is very enjoyable.

Also, I've heard good things about this one, which is absolutely free: Battle for Wesnoth
