Second screen - anyway to make brighter while main screen is off?

Is there anyway to make the second screen brighter while the main screen is off and in standby mode?
I can barely see it when the main screen is off and in a dark room.

It's odd, when it turns on (ie phone laying screen down proximity sensor turns it off) and you flip it when the second screen awakes it's brighter for like 3 secs, same as if you turn the screen off with power button.
