Secure File Limitation

I normally back up my business files onto my phone periodically. It always bugged me that the number of folders was limited for "secure file."

This morning I tried to do it again (I am a lawyer and have 15 years worth of data, 1800 folders/8000 files).

Well, low and behold, it worked.

I checked it because my phone updated a few week ago and I thought it was worth a try.

It always seemed arbitrary as it is my device and computing power, if I want to utilize it that way it should be my call. Not to mention that i don't like evidence pictures and videos showing up in galleries.

I hope that this helps someone.

Especially since you mentioned how many files you have and how important they are to you, I wanted to mention that I've been seeing a lot of complaints about the Secure Folder feature lately, but on other devices like the S10 and recently the S20, where Secure Folder suddenly was denying people access and/or folders disappearing.

If nothing else I would backup these files to another source should this end up being a Secure Folder app issue and not limited to a couple of devices. Google Drive is a good backup source and it or its folders can be turned off in your gallery. It's free and part of having a Google account. The app makes adding, viewing, sharing and accessing the data easy and it has a desktop portal with all of the same features. For what it's worth...
