Secure folder malfunctioning

I have photos and videos I moved to the secure folder application on my Note 8. These media files should not be viewable at all unless accessed through the secure folder application. My problem is when using apps like Facebook or Yahoo sports when adding a photo from the phones gallery all the media files I stored in the secure folder show up through the file browser of its respective app along with my unhidden media files. These files should be hidden and I question the security if these files can easily be accessed through other apps on the phone. What's going on?

I tried to replicate this. Tho I do not have fb Installed, nor Yahoo, I first opened (unlocked) my Secure Folder, then opened the gallery.

Next I opened Yata (texting app) and went to attach an image. It only showed me photos in my normal gallery app, but nothing from my Secure Folder gallery. I tried next to attach a photo or a document with K9 Mail (email app), and next with Samsung's stock email app. Neither showed any files that I've moved to the Secure Folder.

It's unsettling that this happened to you, but I couldn't make it happen (tried with Secure Folder both locked and unlocked). Very curious what allowed this for you!!

Does yours show an option to copy to Secure Folder? Mine only has the option to move.

Mine had the option for both. I did a test on a few pictures where I moved them into the secured folder and it worked as it should. Here is a screenshot of the option.
