If you place pictures/videos in the secure folder on your phone.. how do you make them up for when you transfer?

I assume you mean back up... You'd have to manually transfer them out of the Secure Folder or use your Samsung Account to Backup/Restore data. Bear in mind that this has to be done IN Secure Folder in both devices. You can't restore data from a non-secure partition into Secure Folder or viceversa.

In the settings for Secure Folder, there is a Backup & Restore option and you can then choose which items to restore (pictures, etc). However, once when I restored from backup there was nothing there and I lost everything .... so keep that in mind.

I normally transfer all the folders out of secure folder and back into the gallery. When I activate the new phone I transfer all pictures like normal then add those specific galleries back to secure folder.
