I just happened to check last night and I had a 60 MB download for the security update. Now I'm updated to November 1st, 2022. Yippee!

I just checked and there was an update this morning. I installed and restarted and still shows date of October 1. I wish they could get this right for once.

I believe it is free. Just open the Google 1 app and scroll down to the VPN button. I recall Google saying this would be available in December for Pixel 7 devices but I guess it's a tad early.

After you install the update, make sure to check again. I just found that I had a second update right after the first one. Curiously, I'm still on October after these two.
