Security Update?

This afternoon after I was using Android Auto, I got a notice that there was a security update. I had a really weak cell signal, so I turned off the phone without downloading it. Now that I've turned it back on, I can't find it.

Is there a way to force-download a security update (or see what has updated)?

Go to settings, about phone, software updates and the phone will search for updates. If you have marshmallow you can find which security patch you have in software info....

That's the weird thing -- there's no recent security update showing, nor does there seem to be one available. This was just a one-time "security update" screen that popped up after I used Android Auto. I can't seem to make it come up again.

I was hopeful that it would fix the problem of having to switch the USB settings manually every time you want to use Android Auto in Marshmallow.

I had a Security policy update prompt last week. At the time, I canceled the prompt. To check for Security policy updates go to:

Settings > Lock screen and security > Other security settings > Security policy updates > Check for updates
