What has everyone found of the lock settings, to unlock the phone the easiest and quickest way.

I don't like having mine locked at home. But should lock when leave home.

I've rooted and installed Quick Reboot Pro. It blanks the screen, requires a fingerprint to unlock, but doesn't allow the lockscreen to engage. (I realize that's not a solution for everyone.)

Smart Lock works well. I have it set to where my phone doesn't lock at home. The only thing is after 4 hours of inactivity you will have to put in pin or fingerprint. That's not a biggie for me but I don't know if that's a deal breaker for you .

To be honest, Smart Lock is hit-and-miss for me on my Pixel 3 XL when using Trusted Place. But it's still worth a try.

I use fingerprint and password. I don't use trusted places because if I lose my phone near a trusted place, it would remain unlocked.

True -- I only use my home as a Trusted Place (and I trust my family members -- that's not always the case for everyone!).

I would only use my home as trusted place also.
