Seeing more note 8's in the wild than I've seen on previous notes

have we all forgotten that this phone just can out . give it time. An no, the note 8 is not as popular as the s line

I haven't seen another one. Not that I go looking for other's phones. 😏 I'm very much enjoying mine! And that's all that matters.

I haven't seen a single one. I keep looking around me everywhere I go, but nada. I saw my first S8 though during Halloween. That was the first and only new galaxy device I've seen since release. Feels like I'm the only Note 8 owner around! I feel lucky to own this beast let me tell ya!!

I've seen two others. One is a guy at my work just got one and I saw someone at Wal-Mart with one. I do see more s8 Pluses though but even those I don't see a ton of. The S8 line and Note 8 line I'm not seeing very many. I see more Note 5s, S6, S7 and S7 Edges.

What's the deal? Are they just not selling? I do notice my local Best Buy always has the Note 8 cases in stock. With the s8 cases they would run out of stock on the Otterbox cases a lot. The Note 8 they always got stock which tells me they are not selling well. Usually they're always running out of cases because they don't like to keep a lot in stock.

Lol just because one store has alot in stock don't mean a phone ain't selling.

Also, it seems like the Note 8 was not hyped nearly as much as the Note 7 was up to launch date. I mean there were a few media mentions of the Note 8 but not many.

The Note 7 had a lot more hype around it IMO. I'm not talking about exploding phones after launch but up to the launch it seemed hyped more.

I pre ordered the Note 7 too so I remember the hype around it. Even on these forums the Note 7 launched seemed more anticipated. I just didn't sense the mojo around it this time around.

Maybe it's because the S8 Plus minus an Spen is so much similar to the Note, many bought the S8 Plus. The hype around the S8 Plus was more intense I think due to the Note 7 recall people were desperate for a new big screen phone.

I wouldn't be surprised if alot of people are just waiting this time around to make sure there ain't another recall. They got both of my note7 back but if there another recall they will have to pry this note8 out of my dead cold hands lol. And I don't blame them for wanting to go another route or do the wait and see game. And also some people that might have really wanted the note8 might not be able to get it due to needing a phone right then and there and their note7 were taken and they went to another phone. Idk we'll see how it plays out. I'm curious to see how does if they ever bring the deep sea blue to the US. Knowing me I'll keep my black for back up and buy the blue one unless it comes out to close to the note9. The note7 recall didn't make me think twice about getting the note8. But if there is another recall then I probably drop the note line which will be very hard cause I love having the spen. Well I could go back to my note 5 if need be.

It's funny I had the s8+ from release day and probably saw 2-3 other people with the same phone, now with the note 8 at least 10 people in my local gym got this phone

Saw a few on the streets, though none for people i know.

But from the Note 7 recall events last year, I found there are actually quite many Note supporters even though it's not easy to spot

I have not seen another Note 8 since I've gotten mine.

Well come to Philly they either got Galaxy Note 8, other Samsung devices,
Iphones or some lower level LG.

Then you have your trap phone users like myself with the Moto G5 Plus.
Some people trap with the ZTE phones or they may even use some lower end Boost Mobile or MetroPCS phone.

I think my son has the only LG v30 Plus where I live at. I've never seen an lg v30 around, other than his. And he has the plus version.

I have a pixel too, I do see some of the original pixels around, but I know the Pixel 2 and pixel 2 Xl are new devices, but I've never ever, ever seen them and I'm all over the place.

Buy a second Note? You must be loaded!

I really liked the Note 7. Minus features, newer processor, I liked the feel of the Note 7 better. If you could take the guts of the Note 8 and put them and all the features into the chassis of the Note 7, I'd take the Note 7 frame! It just felt better in the hands and I liked typing on the Note 7 better than the Note 8.

As I have said before I think the S8 Plus cut into the Note 8 sales. This time around The S line has nearly the identical phone to the Note 8 except the s8 Plus no dual camera and No Spen. Someone who wants a large screen and to save money and doesn't care about the Spen is going to buy a S8 plus and I don't blame them.

With the Note 7 there really wasn't a Galaxy competitor as the S7 and S7 Edge were not nearly as large as the Note 7. So if you wanted a big screen and newest device then it was the Note 7 for you.

I don't see a huge gap between the Note 8 and Note 9 assuming it's inspired from the S9. It 'might' have in screen finger print sensor. With that and a little faster processor it won't be that different from the Note 8. I also don't see a big difference between the S8 and S9 as well minus the finger print sensor possibly. Just like the s3 and s4 there wasn't a huge difference and similar with the s6 and s7.

I would think the S10 and Note 10 will have big design changed IMO. They don't like to be radical in back to back years design wise.

I'm thinking with Note 10, S10 they might give us dual speakers like with the Pixel XL 2.

I thought I can type long lol:) I wish. Good thing about monthly payments. My fiance is on the LG v20 and he so wanting a note8. So he would probably end up using my black note8 if we got the blue. To be honest if I don't like the note9 which I doubt I won't like it my note8 will be great til note10 or hell probably note11. Hope it makes it that far anyways. I'm sure it will. I loved the note7 but to me that recall is a blessing in disguise cause I love my note8 more. That blue coral was beautiful and the build. But if there were only 2 phones in the world to choose from I would choose note8. And to be honest and without trying to be rude or whatever, it is pointless talking to me about any other phone other than a note lol. Idk I'm just a note freak haha.

Well Samsung had a very good quarter so they must be selling I would think.

I know three people who have one, granted one of them is my father. The Note 7 wasn't really out long enough in the UK to see too many.

I don't believe that I have seen any Note 8's, but I have seen a lot of S8 & S8+. I still see quite a few S7 and S7 Edge as well. The average person upgrades every 2 years, if not less often so if they were pulled away from the Note last year they may not be back for the Note 8 right away, if at all. Maybe they come back for the Note 9 or whatever it will be. Also, factor in those that were waiting to see the iPhone X before making a choice. I can't imagine choosing the X over the Note 8, but some people really get caught up in that hype or decide they want to be locked into that ecosystem. Nothing against iPhones in general. I have owned them all, but the X would be pretty far down my list of phone choices this year.
