Is there a method to upgrade my API level if needed?General Advice: Any additional advice on troubleshooting or resources for finding firmware updates or compatible APKs for this model?Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to Android Central forums.

I guess I could save you some time by saying the short answer is, this isn't possible. This isn't a tablet or phone or really a device that you can just install anything you want on it. Most smart TVs aren't like that, or maybe I should say, they are like this, where you're restricted to what they offer. Yes, it's built on Android but it really isn't Android as far as apps and all of that goes. Not sure how else to say that.

TVs are a different animal than a tablet or phone. They come with preinstalled apps and a preinstalled app store. They aren't like other devices in that you can find and install foreign APKs. Play services and the Play Store would be foreign to this device. For some popular devices developers and tech savvy people will put in time and effort into jailbreaking to get more out of it, take the Fire Stick for example, highly popular device, hundreds of thousands sold, one solution that is pretty universal to all of them, with a more open OS, someone invested time to figure it out. Probably not the case for your 32" TV.

Not sure what you were hoping to install on it, and if it's bootleg or illegal we couldn't talk about it here anyway, but if you want a broader variety of apps you should consider something like a Fire Stick or Google TV.
