Seriously thinking of ordering this extended battery for my new Evo. With the new back that it comes with, will it still fit in a normal desk dock and a normal case?

It will fit in seidios docks etc that are designed for it, but don't think it would fit in any oem docks. Cases must also accommodate the larger back. I've heard of others actually cutting silicone cases to make them fit. I have been going naked since I got the 3500 and don't even think I will be putting another case on this phone, I like it this way.

I'm supposed to be getting a belt clip/case so that I don't have to put my phone in my pocket. I'm just curious if it will fit in there.

I also have a question on this. I have read so many positive reviews on AMAZON and ordered one for myself already. My usage is pretty moderate during the week days and the battery lasts 14-16 hrs with all the radios off, default live wall paper, 20 mins calls, 20-30 mins web browsing, playing games/apps with phone for about 30 mins. with auto brightness on.

Now, I considered this battery coz I want to have 4G on (I do have 4g coverage but if I leave it on and use it for videos and browsing battery life is around 6-8 hrs with my usage) all day, use GPS on weekends, watch videos/listen to music and browse apps/phone and play games and looks like this battery will still get me 12-14 hrs.

So, if anyone is using one and feels otherwise about it - I would appreciate your comment(s)

Thanks

I don't have 4G in my area, so I am unsure about how it will affect this battery, but I can tell you that after having this battery for a week now, I have trouble MAKING it drop below 60% in 14 hours. My usage is pretty moderate, not heavy by any means, but I leave all the radios turned on except 4G, and use Navigation on occasion, and never plug my phone in during the day.

However, I have found that it is a NECESSITY that when you charge the battery to leave it plugged in all night. If you try to do a quick charge during the day, the green light will come on because the stupid phone thinks that it is charging the oem battery and that it is full, but the battery will still be far from fully charged. When I have done this, the battery will start out reading 100%, then within minutes, it appears as though it is draining rapidly, but is actually just adjusting to the ACTUAL battery level.... kind of annoying, but if you can leave it plugged in all night you will not see this problem.

Great, I am sure during weekdays I won't go down too much (I might even leave 4g off).

However the reason I am getting this battery is for this reason - over the weekends I want to enjoy the phone to the fullest and specially when I am out, I would like to use GPS, watch videos/listen to music, browse net, exchange mails, use FB, take vidz/pics, leave all syncs on and go almost 12 hrs without a chanrge (all along with live wall paper and brightness on) :) - And looks like this battery will allow me to do so - I am HAPPY :)

That is why I bought mine.... problem solved. I really don't care about the little bump on the back, it looks and feels great to me. It is a good feeling to know that you can use your Evo for whatever you want ALL DAY and not have to worry about plugging in. This is the way it is supposed to be.

Exactly..

Wow thanks to everyone's positive results on this topic makes me want to get the 3500 battery. I can use my phone heavy some days and light the others days. When I'm out is when I use my phone the most. Im always showing my phone off to other friends and I'm always online, watching movies, playing games ect. I have impressed a lot of people with the flashlight feature. LoL they are always like wow, do you even use you computer anymore? I'm like, 'nope'. I do everything on my phone. So the 3500 battery might be a great add on to my phone.

I went into Sprint yesterday to pick up my second EVO and an Intercept. Everyone in the store was admiring my extended battery. They thought the hump would be much bigger. I have moderate useage for most of the day while at work, then from 2 pm until 10 pm, heavy usage. Once I had it go down to 16%, but that was a day I was off. I leave everything on and updates hourly for email and weather. Bluetooth on, GPS on. The only thing turned off is 4G unless I travel where it is available. The phone does not properly read the battery. If you wait even the 2 hours recommended after it is green, it will drop to like 93%-95% right after you unplug it. Try this: Wait for about 2 hours after it goes green, turn off the phone, then unplug. Wait about 15 seconds, plug it back in. It will take between a half hour to 45 minutes to go green again. Then turn your phone back on. I did this and then kept it on the charger for the rest of the night. Now when I charge it I can remove the charger about an hour after it goes green and it will read what it should. I have surfed the internet for 5 or 10 minutes checked the battery level and it's at like 98%. I read it here in the forums and tried it. Not sure why, but it does work.

Thanks for the note, I placed my order through Amazon last Sunday and it hasn't been shipped yet :( but happy I made a correct choice

BTW* whoever is getting this battery - yes it adds 3-4 mm thickness on the back of EVO but you know the advantage rite ? it will for sure save your camera lens/glass from touching the flat surface - super

I absolutely love my life with the seidio extended battery! I can go allllll day using my phone however I please. This is the battery that the phone should have came with to begin with .

I Love my Evo

I get 30-40 hours with the stock battery. I see no need for an extended battery monstrosity.

Not only does the extended battery give me all the juice I need, I personally like the feel even better than the stock size - personal taste I guess.

It is not big enough to be intrusive, but just big enough to add to stabilization. IMHO. I really like the extra it adds. Helps me hold on to it. I have average size hands but really like it.
