Seidio Cases for Note 8 Available Now.

I'm kind of hoping they send us new ones, I like to have a spare. I usually break my holsters once a year or so, when the phone catches on something and snaps the clip off, usually getting out of my wife's car.

That would be awesome, I have broken a few clips off of holsters myself (seems the larger devices seem more prone to catching on things).

Cheers,
BR

I'm looking for anyone who has the Note 8 and the SEIDIO Surface case to please report in on a concern I have regarding the magnetic kickstand and the S-Pen functionality. Can anyone do a very thorough test confirming that the magnet in the case does not interfere with the magnet in the screen which the S-Pen uses? For a reference of what to look for, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aYDn5hyDGzk

I look forward to hearing from you folks. Thank you.

It's been more than 4 days and no one has answered. Guess this forum is dead. I'll just leave my findings here for anyone who might google this case and note 8 wondering. Yes, the magnet does interfere with the s-pen. Even if you have the kickstand pulled back, there's still another magnet in the case that the kickstand magnet locks into. Both affect the s-pen.

I'm going to try to buy an electric demagnetizer and see if I can just remove all magnetism from the kickstand part. That would be best as this case either feels really weird with only the top half of the hard shell or not reliable without it.

I have a surface case and scribbled across the screen with the S Pen and there's no problem like that video.

Look man, it's physics and it's the exact same across all units. The small magnet creates circular distortions on the bottom middle-left of the screen where the kickstand magnet is. I managed to remove the entire kickstand piece easily from inside the back of the case and am no longer damaging the s-pen magnet anymore. I strongly recommend doing the same.

It won't ruin everything about the s-pen, but make no mistake it is causing permanent damage to that one particular spot about the size of a dime where the kickstand is. This isn't up for debate, it's just a fact of how the technology works. It relies on magnetic fields and the kickstand magnet interferes with it.
