Why Is the surface case not compatible on the Verizon variant?!!?! I LOVE THOSE CASES RRGGG

Verizon changed the G2 form factor slightly to get a Qi compatible Li-Polymer battery in their phone. The other variants don't have cordless/dockless charging feature. But yeah the lack of compatibility with many of the other G2 cases is a real annoyance - the Verizon QuickWindow case for the VS980 is ridiculously overpriced as a result.

Ehh I never use flip cases. Alas I opted for a cruzerlite and e Incipio shine.
