Selected the Wrong "Always use..." folder Ringtones:how RE-SELECT/CHANGE default folders?

Dear All:

i was whizzing through the set up relatively quickly and made a mistake:

for ringtones or notifications, i had selected "always open with..." for ringtone or notifications folder. ugh.

now, i can't figure out how to UNselect this. Meaning: i can't find the usual "ringtones" or "notifications" folder that comes with every new phone, which has pre-installed a number of standard and new ringtones and notifications from the manufacturer.

may i please ask for suggestions or help?

With most phones, if you create a folder named Ringtones or Notifications and put mp3 files in them (then restart the phone), they'll be picked up. The current folders are either in sdcard (the "internal sd card") or in some system folder. (I usually just add Ringtones, Alarms and Notifications folders in sdcard if there are none there and use them to add tones.) Replacing the defaults loses everything in them, adding folders just adds your tones. (Depending on the phone, if using an upper-case first letter doesn't work, change all 3 to all lower-case letters and restart.)

Try opening your system settings, then tap Menu, and Reset All App Preferences.
