Selecting more than one picture for emailing?

I have to send a lot of pictures via email. Is there a way, when attaching pictures, to select a few at a time as opposed to one by one. It's kind of a pain.

Using a file manager app, create a folder for the pics, select the pics you want to email, put them in the temporary folder, zip/compress the folder to a single file, email that file instead. Might be a bigger pain than it is worth...

Instead of starting in your email app start in your gallery. Press and hold one of the pictures for a second and multiple select check boxes will appear. Check the ones you want then click the share button and select email.
