Is there any easy way to get my Pixel 2 to ring differently when I get a call from someone not in my contacts list? I know I could assign a specific ringtone to all my contacts, but that's one by one.

I've already turned on the option to send spam calls directly to VM, but I'm getting calls that are spoofing the area code and exchange.

Only one way - assign a ringtone to the phone, then assign a different ringtone to every one of your contacts.

(Spoofing your area code and exchange has become common - if it looks like someone local, you're more likely to answer it. I always answer those calls prepared to hang up - and that's what I do, whether it's a robocaller or a human being. Not a word, just -click-. Unless they're trying to convince you that they're someone else for fraudulent purposes, it's not against the law. And calling to sell you something isn't fraud. Neither is trying to get you to vote for someone. [We need better laws.])

I never answer those calls - if they leave me a VM I'll listen to it and decide if it's important; if they don't I mark it as Spam and block it. YMMV.

I wish there was a way to vary the ringtone based on whether the caller was known or not. This caller ID spoofing is getting out of hand!
