Hi everyone! first time android phone user here.

I just got optimus s a few days ago, and I love this phone.

Since I got this phone, I've downloaded and installed some apps such as "advanced apps killer", a live wallpaper, an app installer, etc...

I've encounted the SD card unmounting error a few times, but I haven't seen it again after I formatted the SD.

I thought this was going to be a good phone.

Until...

I had some trouble sending text messages yesterday. Every time I sent one, I got this msg 2114 about invalid digits of number or something. Later that day, I noticed that the phone literally reset itself almost back to factory setting. The wallpaper was changed to something I've never selected before, all my icons were gone.

Has anybody experienced this? Could this incident by some virus that was in one of the apps I installed?

I really like this phone. I don't want to change it to some other phone.

Could somebody help me? Thank you.

Google really needs to remove useless apps from the market.

Virus scan (nice way to profit off paranoid people that don't realize that 1) there are no viruses for linux 2) even if there was it wouldn't find it). Virus scan apps for your phone are a total SCAM.

Task killers. Useful for cupcake and donut, should be blacklisted from view for eclair and froyo.

I understand Android is about openness but seriously the virus scan paid apps are just there to scam people.

I didn't even know android was linux-based OS...

well, I told you...first time android user...=)

thank you for your help ^^

Sorry, I was just ranting off topic >.> I just don't really see the point of Virus Scan on a PHONE, and every time I see it in my market it drives me nuts.
