Have a blue 32 GB Verizon Pixel to sell - a new venture for me. Anybody had a good, or bad, experience with the Swappa site?

I've sold several phones there. I feel very secure doing it. The only downside is picky people trying to haggle you down or complaining about scratches even after you stated them and had full detailed pictures ( just my experience) Just be sure to include as many detailed pictures as possible. If you want to sell quickly I'd suggest a $10 undercut to the lowest listed. Be sure to include the fees in your price. ($10 for swappa and $10 for shipping I think)

@Phillipmom - thanks for the reply - I am going to look over the site and see what the phones are going for - I'm not trying to squeeze every last nickel out the phone - being a retired Correction Officer, I don't do "haggle" or "complaining" - :D

OT - being old age wise and young messing with phone wise I have found AC to be a great place to learn - you people know stuff

I've sold seven phones on Swappa and every transaction I've had went smoothly and I felt secure using the site. I agree with Philipmom about the hagglers being rather annoying, but you can ignore them. Also take close-up shots on all sides of the device to detail scratches that may be present.

I had several listing on Swappa who all fell into darkness..
Never sold a thing, there. So, based on my personal experience, if you want to sell OR want to sell fast, avoid Swappa.

I've sold two phones on Swappa, both transactions went smoothly and sold within 24 hours. I sell my phones cheaply for quick sales and I take crazy good care of my phones so both were in pristine condition. No issues either time. I'm about to list three more old phones there in the next couple of days.

I have sold 17 phones on swappa. Great site. All phones were in mint condition. I gave a great price and service. Perfect rating from the buyers. Be accurate in your description. The better condition the phone the faster it will sell. Be flexible. I think the fee is $15 now. The buyer pays the fee.

I'm going to tag on here to ask a question. I was just on support with Google regarding the fact that I'm getting the same calls/texts on both the Pixel and my Edge. So far, I really like the Pixel, so I think I'm going to sell my Edge. When I called Pixel support to ask why I'm getting calls/texts on both, he said it's tied to my email, not the number. When I said I was going to sell my Edge (and mentioned the factory data reset), he said that won't be enough. That I have to go to a Samsung repair place to get my account taken off the phone. Really?? He said flagship phones have a lot of security in place and this is an example of it. I don't want to sell the phone and then find out the buyer can't use it. Does anyone know if I can just do a factory data reset before I sell?

Also, I was given a new number with the Pixel, since I obviously already have the Edge, but I want to keep my original number (the one on the Edge). I'm on Project Fi currently, but my Edge is on AT&T. Should it be pretty easy to get my number ported to Project Fi?

Swappa is the only site I've ever used. Any other phone I've sold has been in person in a public place. Swappa guarantees on both ends. If you're an honest seller with photos and Swappa approves the listing then you are good to go. Now if you damage the device between posting and shipping then its on you to be honest. Other than that...it's pretty fair. Why not try the the market place here?

I've sold 4 phones using swappa. All went well. The only problem is a sale isn't considered final until the buyer reports they received the device. Twice, it took the buyer 2 months to do this. You get the money, but by not closing the sale you live with the possibility they may open a return as they now have 6 months. Like others say, expect to be low balled, but that'll happen wherever you try to sell anything. I set the price to slightly lower than the normal sold price for that device. Buyers know a good price when they see it and my items always sold in a few days. Just don't expect some older device or one with no name recognition, to sell immediately. I always try to stick with flagships as they retain their value better IMO

You either had devices that no one wanted or you priced them too high.

Swappa changed their fee structure on early November. It's no longer a flat $10 fee. Fees are based off of the asking price of the device. The higher the price, the higher the fee.

Ive sold on swappa and ebay. I prefer ebay. You'll get a lot more because people tend to not let anyone outbid them. Plus you have the ebay money back guarantee that helps buyers. Right now, with the pixel in such hot demand , im thinking of selling too. I'm just very dissapointed with the value to product ratio. I'm liking my S7 edge and ZTE axon 7 a whole lot more since I got the pixel.

Thanks - I was not aware of this.
The Blue Pixel I was going to sell was "claimed" by a family member before I had a chance to post it - :D
I'll bookmark the Marketplace for future reference - you AC people are a great bunch of people.
