I am looking to sell my HTC Rezound sometimes in the next week and wanted to get advice on a starting price. The phone is in mint condition with no scratchs or scuffs on the phone or screen. I have had a screen protector and case on it since day one. It has the original box and micro SD card in it. I also have a set of unused beats audio headphones that have never even been taken out of the box. What should I ask for it? The phone works flawlessly.

Whenever I sell my old phones I head over to eBay to see what others are selling them for. Sometimes I go a little lower to grab people's attention or sometimes a little higher depending on the accessories I'm selling with it.

I have looked on eBay and know the site well but the prices were all over the place.

$75-$100

All of these prices seem extremely low. I am a firm believer that "everything is worth what the purchaser will pay for it".
The Rezound is still considered a high end smart phone IMO and it is fully capable of doing everything I need it too. It's pretty much a mini computer and I am able to work on Word documents among other things. The Beats Headphones are the highest quality ear phones I have ever heard.

@Umass021 - I would never ever ever ever consider letting my Rezound go for anything under $375-400

First of all the Rezound is dual core
Second it's not high end, It's medium
Third, you can get a quad core nexus 4 for $300
Forth, ibeats are fashion accessories, if you think they're the best sounding, then you have serious problems
Fifth, good luck selling it for more than $200

Go to eBay, search for HTC Rezound in Cell Phones & Smartphones catagory, scroll down on the left and tick Sold and/or Completed Listings... You will see the actual selling price for SOLD auctions (prices are green if on a PC) of an HTC Rezound $95 to $190 depending on condition and accessories, new in box is around $225-$260, so the average for a G/VG Rezound with "standard" accessories (charger, maybe a case) is about $140. Swappa.com confirms this with 6 Rezounds currently available for $135-$190 and recent sales averaging around $150, again depending on condition accessories.

I don't normally pick these types of posts apart, but I am just in the mood... :)

1) Yes, it is a dual core phone... an irrelevent point. Most phones are still dual core except high end phones of the last 6 months or so.
2) Yes, actually it was high-end when it was released, and was still highend until the last round of phones released around the time of the SGS3, and is still on the high-end of medium range phones today.
3) Good luck using that Nexus 4 on Verizon, it doesn't support VZW's 4G, never will.
4) True, iBeats are not "the best" headphones, but they are good, quality built, and sound very good. If you know audio then you know sound quality is a very subjective issue. The retail price tag might be more than worth to audiophiles, but things have value for more than their quality, and these headphones from the Rezound still sell for $45-$60 on eBay, which is about what they are worth.
5) Yeah, gotta agree with this one... unless it is still NEW and untouched, you will not get over $180 irregardless of condition, and the price will do nothing but continue to drop

Look I just went to eBay and bought a new/used one after my screen stop displaying. I don't want to say die because I replaced the LCD and the display still doesn't work. Anyway, there are some really crazy buy it now prices and I've seen a lot of them not move because of being over priced. The three auctions I was in all ended around $120. Which I didn't understand because there were plenty of them for $114 to $120 as buy it now items. The prices do swing, one was asking for people to make an offer with a buy it now price of $175 offering everything that came in his box. That one ended without a sale, so I contacted the lister and asked them to counter my offer. The lowest he was willing to go was $150. I see new ones for $200+ to almost $400? Some with and some without all of the stuff. One lister had a scoring system and was selling them according to grade, A, B, C, with A being the best condition and the most expensive. I guess they are trying to lure folks in by saying that the phones are in very good condition.

Considering that you can get the dna new of contract for $300-$350, they're is no way in hell you are getting that much for a Rezound.

You are right that many phones are dual core before about 6 months ago. But the newer dual core are better as the Rezound is a 45nm chip while the GSIII is on a 28nm chip. This means that the GSIII is more efficient than the Rezound, way better battery life, runs cooler. The GSIII also has 2gb ram compared to 1gb for the Rezound. With that said, although the GSIII has a larger screen than the Rezound, I still prefer the screen on the Rezound over the screen on the GSIII, which isn't that great. Heck, my Samsung Galaxy Note II has a better screen than the GSIII due to RGB vs. Pentile.
