I finally got my S22 Ultra a few days ago and everything is great, but I do notice that when I try to send a text, I'll have to press the send button several times (more than necessary) to send the text. I have to hit at the right spot to get it to work, any ideas why this is? am I the only one with this problem? Maybe it's still a new phone, I remember I had the same problem when I first got the Note 20. It eventually fix itself over time.

That's really strange. I'm using Google Messages on mine, and I've never had that problem since I've gotten the phone a month ago. Is that the only app that does that?

I also use Google Messages as my default text messaging app, but I also tried Samsung's messaging app and I get the same problem (have to tap the send button several times)

If I make the keyboard disappear and the send button drops to the bottom of the screen then it works normally (only have to tap it once)

What carrier do you have? Are you using a carrier branded device or an unlocked one? If unlocked, are you using the unlocked firmware or the firmware for your carrier?

I use Spectrum, but the phone is unlocked. Not sure what firmware I'm using? (using the phone as is since I got it, a few days ago)

OK, you probably have the unlocked firmware which is what I have. Spectrum uses Verizon network, and I have Verizon.

Do you have good signal when you're texting?

Unlocked here, on Tracfone, also a Verizon NVNO and it works ok for me. Not the world's best signal where I live.

Yes, signal is fine. Sending text is not the problem, just having to tap on the send button several times is.

Try to hit that exact same spot on other apps/screens. If you're having the same issue with intermittent functionality in that spot, then I would guess that the digitizer panel in that area underneath the glass isn't working properly or it isn't sensitive enough. If that is the case, I would return/exchange.

Do you use a screen protector? If you don't try turning screen sensitivity on in settings>display try either way.

Can you turn phone to landscape position and see if the problem persists? That might tell it is a screen protector or a problem with that screen or it is just a problem with the actual software button.

Also, did you try to clear data on the messaging app? Just a thought. Maybe need some clear cache and storage..

Works fine in landscape mode.

Maybe it's the keyboard (I use Samsung's keyboard) because when I tap the back button to make the keyboard disappear the send button works fine.
