Send emoji as sms and not mms

I live in the UK and am using Texra to send and revieve SMS and MMS. I would like to be able to send emoji's on my LG G4 as sms and NOT mms (costing me money for each emoji). Does anybody know what setting and where it would be (hopefully there is a setting to change that stops the phone changing a SMS message with an emoji to a MMS message.

Any help would be great.

Under settings change group messaging to BULK. This sends group message to each person one by one as opposed to altogether as MMS does. Go to settings and scroll down and you'll see MESSAGING. You'll see it straight away as you don't have to scroll far. If this does not work then it's your network plan.

My initial thought is that it is not the emoji that is causing you to use MMS, but as JGLdn suggests, it is probably the group chat.
