Send my contact/ vcard

So on my DINC I went to send my contact/ business card to another phone (someone at work that has an iphone).
When I go to send it, before selecting the recipient it only gives me three options:
Send via pop3/ exchange, via bluetooth or as an mms.

Why isn't gmail an option?
