Hi guys, I'm new to this site (and somewhat new to Android). I was wondering if anyone has found the option to send a contact directly to voicemail. I had a Backflip for a short time, and I've also seen this feature on the Droid, Droid X, and Evo. I can't to seem to find it on this phone. I found a thread through Google that said there should be an option for it, that I don't have.

If I have to use an app, so be it...I was wondering why I can't find an option I see all the other phones rocking. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm using 2.1-update 1 for the OS if that helps.

Thanks!

I assume the native ability to do so isn't in this OS for this model....

Thanks for the recommendation. Very promtly also!

1. Open your contact list
2. Scroll until you find the contact that you'd like to send straight to voicemail, and tap to open the contact
3. Near the bottom of the contact page, find and tap on the Send to voicemail option
.... 1. A pop-up will appear asking if you're sure you want to enable this feature.
4. Tap OK And you're done.

Or you can just hit ignore when the call comes in to do it manually.

That option's not there for me.

I don't see this on a 2.1 Captivate.

You can go into Settings, press Call Settings, press All Calls, press Auto reject. Enable Auto reject. Then go into the Call Log from Phone and press on the contact you want to reject and press Menu (bottom left next to Home) and press Add To Reject List. Go back to the Auto reject menu and press Auto reject list and the contact should be there with the box checked. (Uncheck it to remove it from the list.)

I haven't tested it to see if it rejects the caller to voicemail or if it completely rejects the call. (Don't get cell signal out in the woods)

Hopefully this works for you.

I'll try this, but I have to wait for the call first lol...

Playing around with it, from the Auto Reject List, you can press Menu and then press Create to create the number that you want to add. You don't need to get a call from them first so you don't need to go to the Call Log for any reason.

The first way was to reject a recent caller from calling you in the future.

I tested this morning and the call goes directly to voicemail.

I was having some problems in getting this. Had to download an app called CoJu, which allowed me to selected and move few of my contact at one go to voicemail.
