Sending Message in Group Message

I have an interesting problem and I'm having trouble finding an answer. I'm in a group message with the same people and when I receive a message from one of them it sometimes says "Sending" next to the group in the message application. This doesn't appear to happen at any other time and it does not happen when I send a message.

I'm not sure what is happening, I was thinking that it could be getting stuck on sending a send receipt but not really sure. Two of the people in the group use iphones and I think one person belongs to a different carrier. It's frustrating to see this message, it didn't happen on my previous device (which was an HTC phone).

Any ideas?

Try sending a test text message to a small group of 3 or 4 that you know use Android. If you don't have the issue then it might indicate your issues are with the iOS members of your group, or the "other" carrier.
