Sending pics

Looking for 3rd party text messaging app, why is it that some of these apps I can't send pictures it tells me that I have to go into settings with the APN settings.... Is there any way to fix that?

Picture messaging (mms) requires an APN setting. The APN is exclusive to whichever carrier you use. What model phone do you have and what carrier do you use? Is it locked to a carrier or unlocked?

I have Gs8 edge.... and have Verizon

Did you purchase your phone new from Verizon? If that is the case, you can take it to one of their stores to have them set it up for you. Best Buy can also do that. If you bought it new from Verizon, the APN settings should already be set to. Can you receive picture messages?

Frustrating that to send pictures via the sms app (as an mms message) the carrier charges 30-50p per message..

Obviously WhatsApp carries no charge..

The only that sucks about whatsapp is that your friends or whoever you ate texting has to have that so too which no one other than my wife had that app.... Unless I'm missing something

You're correct. Others have to have the app for you to use it. More prevalent in European markets.

What carrier charges for MMS? I thought they stopped that years ago

You're correct. Others have to have the app for you to use it. More prevalent in European markets.

yea I see.... only me and my wife have it... no one else so it's kind of irrelevant... although I love how you can send high quality videos to each other
