Sending pictures via BBM

Anyone of you out there having trouble with sending pictures to your contacts with the Android version of BBM? One of my buddies is having some trouble with it apparently.

No problems here. What's the nature of the failure?

He was saying it doesn't seem to want to send pictures in app, or it would work at random times. However, if he sends from the photo gallery, it works every time. He's using a Galaxy Nexus.

I experience the same thing. VERY slow sending to an Android user, too...
