I am disappointed to see the apparent slow down of the ui when running live wallpapers

Go to a Verizon store or Best Buy and put a live wallpaper on a Moto Xoom. Then try to rearrange icons on the screen. The level of lag vs what has been shown on these videos doesn't even compare. The Xoom is brought to its knees by live wallpapers. That is the same chipset going into the Photon. I'll take my chances with the EVO 3D.

I was just wondering if anyone had second thoughts after seeing the laggy-ish performance of a similar phone.

Focus came in here yelling about his Nexus, which I have owned. Message me Focus if you want my reasoning for returning it.

If I know HTC, they would notice the lag in the Sensation and try to push a update to fix that. They would also make sure it wouldn't happen to the Evo 3D as well. the Sensation hasn't been released in the U.S. yet so they have time.

Held out as long as I can, the shift is awesome, my girl has it. It's actually what made me give up on Palm/HP/webOS and started looking seriously at Android, then the 3D was announced. I feel bad for those faithful at precentral, i was one of them. Hopefully they also see the light soon.

Simply put, Sense 3.0. Look at the size of the rom dump from the Evo 3D and look at how much crap they packed into the new sense and youll see why.

Looks fine to me.
Even compared to my sgs2 I can't tell the lag on the sensation, and this thing is the king of smooth.
No difference to my eyes, maybe I need to use the sensation in person but looks like it and the 3d will be some awesome phones.

yea thats me. I guess it was when i first played with the Shift, it was just so fast and smooth, every app available was in the market and all my friends were playing word feud AKA words with friends and tagging music via Shazam. Their phones just worked and did everything they wanted without compromise or excuses. Then i really thought to myself, "what the hell am i doing?? why do i still own this piece of ****??"

I feel many launch day pre owners will switch to evo3d. Pre, if you remember at the time, was the #1 phone out and all tech enthusiasts gravitated towards. Now, the tech nerds like us will go for the evo3d which is a sick phone. Pre had its moments but HP/palm didnt bring anything new. And by the time they do, they will be a year behind technology.

Its like half of the Launch Day Pre Owners defected Last year with the launch of the Evo and the remaining Pre loyalist have realized that Cell WebOS is dead in the water and will jump ship now ... I remember many of us from Pre Central finding our forum friends over here at AC ... It's like a family reunion ... lol

Forget the lag, anyone else concerned with the signal issues when you hold the back of the phone? Wow, just saw this a bit ago. In another video, the wifi completely shuts off and the signal strength drops like 3 bars just from holding it near the top. Lets hope the 3D doesnt do this too...

I highly doubt it will. the desinges are totally different on both phones. Regardless I throw on a slim case on my phones always.

I hope it doesn't, but I almost never hold my phone to my ear to speak (use bluetooth almost exclusively for long calls) so it's not a dealbreaker

Yea thats a great video sense 3.0 looks good. I didnt knowtice any lag at all except when he pinch zoomed out on the web pages it looks a tiny bit choppy like he said but all in all if thats the only lag so far then id be pretty happy.
Also i tried finding other links and reviews that show this lag that is saposedly all over the sensation but the only thing i found was people just posting that it was laggy but giving no proof. Either way i hope we see a E3D reviews soon. well see.

All new electronics inevitably have some kinks. Nothing is perfect. I've watched plenty of sensation and evo 3D vids and have seen no perceptible lag @ all. Being that the phone hasnt been released here yet There has been no real world feedback or confirmation about the "issues" focus and now Chrissy are talking about. one random unit acting up on YouTube means nothing. Besides, the overwhelming majority of videos on the sensation are positive and talk about how responsive and fast it is. Everything glitches @ some point. How about we wait till it gets into actual users hands and see what they say before labeling it crappy or laggy?

Focus obviously has some bias toward this device or just likes starting trouble. I can understand not wanting a particular device but that doesn't mean that device is crap. I have yet to see him make an objective or positive statement about the 3D yet in any of the threads he infests with his nexus loving blather.

keep in mind that the HTC Inspire on ATT also had this problem while the Evo 4G never did, the antenas are completely different on CDMA and GSM phones.
