Sense 3.0 and Temp Rooting

Now, as much as I love Sense 2.1 that my Desire Z has, I am wanting to get Sense 3.0 on my system.

But here's my predicament, the people who repair my phone will sniff out a perm root, and judging by the google search on "unrooting HTC Desire Z", will even sniff through that un-root. Which means if I have to root, I have to temp root, or find a way in un-rooting to destroy any trace of rooting, including dropping the root access (as well as flashing Sense 2.1 back on).

Further problems are in that I have upgraded to Gingerbread, which I have heard can't be rooted. And I don't know how to downgrade either if I need to do so in order to root.

I did do some Google searching for the ROMs and they all require perm rooting. Which is not what I'm after if I can avoid it.

So to put it plainly, for the TL.DR crowd, this is what I need:
  • A way to temp root my phone on Gingerbread (if possible)
  • A way in which should I have to load Sense 2.1 again after a perm root (if that is the only way to get 3.0), to completely remove the root access (thus lowering my access permissions)
  • A Sense 3.0 ROM that can be loaded while temp rooted (if available)
