Sense 3.0 vs Sense 3.5

Could you tell me some of the advantages/disadvantages of Sense 3.0 vs Sense 3.5? I'm thinking of switching from forever 11 to soab 4. I actually tried last night but when I tried to change the version of vvm (the one in soab doesn't allow me to sign in) I actually borked the rom and couldn't boot back into it. (Phone would shut off during boot animation)

Other than the problem with vvm the rom seemed to be running nicely but the only dif I noticed was the shortcut widget that occupied the home screen. I don't even like it because it only allows shortcuts to 5 apps so I would probably delete that widget anyway.

What else does 3.5 have to offer? I don't know if it is worth setting up again.

A few of the apps (calendar, people, and phone) were a little different. I have been running cm7 for a few weeks now so I can't remember all the differences. I think in the calendar app in 3.5 the buttons to change views were on the bottom of the screen instead of the top. I personally liked 3.5 better but it wasn't a big change.

Thanks. I searched online and found very little. A different color here a different animation there, all pretty superficial. The home page shortcut widget seems like the biggest dif yet although pretty I don't like having only 5 shortcuts on the main screen. Considering it crashed on me the first time I doubt that I'll go through the trouble of setting it up again. If it had something special to offer I was unaware of I would do it.

I would already be on cm7 or liquid if someone had figured out how to get nfl mobile. I could give up vzw vvm but not free nfl games.

Sense 3.5 has a few added features but the biggest for me was a task widget that synchronizes with Microsoft Outlook. My TB is my business phone also and I do everything through MS Outlook especially scheduling meetings and logging tasks.
I'm currently using Virus's Eternity ROM which has a sense 3.5 base. Also beats as an added bonus although I rarely listen to music.
It has been super fast and remarkably stable for me.

3.5 was made for single core phones so it should on theory be smoother than 3.0. I just didn't like how 3.5 looked. /shrug

Well if you delete the shortcut widget on the home screen it looks pretty similar imo. Losing the rosie bar is a plus. It just wasn't stable on my phone. Maybe infected rom would run better, I don't know. Of course the pink htc animation was the first thing to go! Lol

3.0 runs nicely on my phone. I just like trying different roms but not if they're buggy or nfl live mobile doesn't work. I'll try an aosp rom after the football season is over. I've been surprised to read they don't really have better battery time though.

Can't say weather VZW WM works since I don't use it.
I'm probably not as picky as most but I don't experience any bugs.
NFL Mobile does work as well as HTC Hub.

I know most prefer google vvm or don't use vvm at all but I have 6 months of it free and I'm kind of addicted to it. The sound quality of it is amazingly bad. Like I cant even believe how bad the recordings sound but it is so convenient to just clicknon it to hear the scratchy, staticky message.

Supposedly faster reacting camera, an improved panorama mode, burst shots mode and a few other extra modes not found in 3.0.

I tried it out. I like the people app better. Camera is good. I found I don't like the famous home widget from bliss. Wastes too much space on screen for just 5 shortcuts and I prefer to have a rosie with a third button to program.

Actually I'd like a rosie with 4 or 5 programmable options that show up on every home screen. I don't like adding a launcher because it slows startup time even more and you lose out on the pretty sense live wallpapers and features.

AOSP is still too finicky for my taste. I like everything to just work without a song and dance to get it going.
