Sense camera and cm7

Is it possible and can it be done??? I really want the sense 3.0 camera application (assuming im correct and that is what is in the new mik rom/synergy) to run on cm7 but have not been able to :-(.... Does anyone know if you can or if the apk could be modified to work on cm7 and if so how? Really miss the stock camera application on my EVO and want it back without having sense

If the Sense camera app depends on libraries found in a Sense ROM, then it will not work on an AOSP ROM.

IMHO, it would probably be a lot of work to get this going, not to mention possible copyright infringement (but don't quote me on this, I'm not a lawyer... ).

Makes me sad... I love the stock camera but love the freedom of aosp.... Seems like all the custom sense based roms would be violation of the same copyright Though if that's the case

AOSP Gingerbread doesn't support 720p right now. That's why the nexus s doesn't have 720p either.

720p is only possible on non aosp roms like sense.

For aosp camera alternatives, you can try the miui camera.

The Miui camera app has the touch to zoom similar to the Sense camera. That is one thing it has over the stock AOSP version that I know of right now. I just started using the app.

Yes the stock look isn't very attractive with the salt & pepper look. I was able to stand it because of the themes from the theme chooser.

Miui camera is very clean. I did miss the tap to zoom. I like to get creative with the camera when I'm bored.
