Seperate Text Tones for seperate contacts on Galaxy S9 Plus?

[Android Central Question]

Is anyone else as annoyed as I am with the inability to assign separate text tones to individual contacts?? My last 2 Galaxy phones had this ability and had I known this "feature packed" S9+ would have left that capability out - I would not have chosen this phone.

My questions are:
1. Does anyone know if Samsung is planning to change this in an update?
2. Is there a messaging app that anyone has used that is safe and reliable and allows for assigning separate text tones?

I have a week left to be able to return my phone. This is a deal breaker for me and I may just have to do what I've said I'd never do - become a "half eaten fruit" phone owner .
