Point of note, my Nexus 6P with my Fi data-only SIM in it still hasn't even gotten the August update...

Sorry Mike, i disagree, I get the updates every 6th of the month on a phone that I happen to have, the name is Essential. Hope that help.

I forced it today. Pulled my T-Mobile Sim and rebooted and it showed up finally. Did a factory reset and updated. I had some weird issues going on so it seemed like a good time to do a factory reset.

I agree, I have the unlocked version my Google play store and tmobile sim tried everything and finally just sideload it

is the Google Fi service slow at getting these monthly updates? I'm giving Google Fi a shot on a trial basis and for the past few days I've been on the service. So wondering all possible issues including updates could be. so far I like it but if it gets slow updates that's a downside. I guess I will find out myself when the October security update is released as I plan on trying this out for the next couple of months at least

It's hit-and-miss. I've gotten some updates right away, others (such as this one) have been delayed.

That hasn't worked out yet for me... My SIM has been out for a few days as I'm giving the Note 9 a try, still checking my PXL2 multiple times a day without any luck

Glad you got it! What kind of weird issues have you been having?

I had things like notifications not working, some apps not working right and kept crashing. Just weird stuff. It's why I like to factory reset monthly.
