September security update/battery problems

I had "xtwifi-client" running amok a few days after updating - it was noticeable in the temperature of the phone, performance, and battery drain. I rebooted and it has not recurred since, but it's only been since Saturday.

Don't get my started on the 10p update... Got a warranty replacement that I knew was on 10h and I'm avoiding updating like the plague

Thats exactly what happened to me, I rebooted and cleaned the cache, now I have more batery life than I used to have. Thats weird, hope my baterry life keeps on 1 full day of heavy usage.

t mobile hasn't sent that one out yet. we are still on the August Security patch

what happened to the first one?

10p has a bug somewhere in how it handles memory. It doesn't affect everyone, but it sure does hit a lot of phones. Basically something in system (can't see, not rooted) is gorging itself on memory. It would sit at around 3.2 to 3.4G on mine. And considering that there's a little chunk that's always reserved, that pretty much left me with enough free memory to run one app at a time, and even then the memory watchdog would eventually close it out.

I am going to be trading it in for a V30 soon enough, so I guess I could update and hope it gets hit so I can investigate further.
