September Update

Gave up with VZW and side loaded it. 1st time for side loading and so far so good. We'll see if it fixed the battery drain issue

Just received Android 13 Quarterly Platform release (QPR) T1B1.220819.006 instead of September update. Had not left Beta (by choice)
p.s. update did indicate that if one wanted to not be a beta, they should not install this release and leave beta, or if installed, then going forward, a full wipe will be needed to leave beta.

Still nothing on P6P on Verizon. Completely ridiculous to hold back a security update.

While I have mostly enjoyed my 6Pro Verizon, the frustrations of software and security issues and updates has been most disappointing. And, I fear, that the problems aren't going away anytime soon. Some of the issues have never been completely solved. For the first time since owning smart phones, and I've owned many, I'm seriously considering going over to the "dark side."

Enjoy, I'm one of the lucky ones( I guess?) That have had a very good experience with my Pixel6. Truly is one of the best phones I've owned and am truly saddened that you aren't happy with yours.

I will not own my P6 in November. Not sure whether it will be a P7, something from Samsung, or an iPhone (price drop on the 13 mini is tempting), but I cannot wait to be rid of this P6.

I hear what you are saying. Unfortunate.

Same here. Since purchasing my Pixel 6 Pro almost 6 months ago, with the enticing benefit of a $200 discount, the only problem I've encountered is an occasional issue with the tap-to-wake function -- an issue that is easily remedied by pushing the power button. Other than that minor inconvenience, my Pixel 6 Pro has performed flawlessly, providing battery life of two full days on a charge with juice to spare, overnight charging on my Gen 1 Pixel Stand every other day, and reliable reception of wi-fi and phone signals both domestically and while travelling abroad -- all while consistently producing the finest photos I've ever seen from a mobile phone. I've even used Google Maps Navigation on this phone for extended periods while driving a rental car around France without any detectable overheating or excessive battery drain. In sum, the Pixel 6 Pro has surpassed the extraordinarily high standards of satisfaction established by my Pixel 5, which I didn't think possible. So unless and until something goes wrong, I'm perfectly content to continue enjoying this phone for at least another year.

Isn't this thread about the September update?

Still nothing from Verizon on the morning of 9/10, BTW.

For those that sideloaded, how long did it take? I have sideloaded updates and ROMs (back in the day) many times, but this one stayed at verifying for over an hour before i abandoned it.

Shouldn't be more then 15 /20 minutes

Looks like Verizon still hasn't released it for the 6 line, like they have for the others. This is from Verizon's website.
