I spoke to Verizon today, they are claiming that Verizon does not and has never held up the update or determine when we get updates. I called the CSR either a liar, or ill-informed. Verizon thinks we are stupid.
I would say uninformed. I would bet my next paycheck that a Verizon customer service rep is pretty low on the overall totem pole of need-to-know within the company. I'm sure they have no idea which team within Verizon is ultimately responsible for Android updates. CSR's perform a much needed service, don't get me wrong, but I don't think they are in-the-know about monthly Android (or iOS) updates.
How is Google responsible? I got the update I think on the 6th unlocked Pixel6.IMHO - it's google who is responsible not VZW.

Google should tell Verizon (and other carriers) to pound sand and handle the updates themselves like Apple. On Pixel phones, there should be no carrier versions.
I sideloaded the Sept one previously but I do see the Verizon link now with only difference build finishes with .A1Has anyone sideload the published Verizon version? I've never done it before but I know many sideload as soon as Google publishes them each month.

Did they mention anything specific for it ? Usually they keep the builds universal ..
