I read several articles about this and not one mentioned what the bug was. Only said a fix is coming. It would be nice to know what it is and if it is something that can be avoided.

Rumors are that this is what has kept AT&T from letting their phones get the update. Early during the weekend, it was just the Exynos variants that were halted, but now it's all devices.

No specifics - like... was it a PIN unlock, face unlock, or FP unlock, or were all of them ineffective?
