Have had the phone now for one week. Seriously love everything. But I am running into battery drain issues. It's expected but literally had 100% battery starting work...wasn't able to get back to phone for 3 hrs, phone was at 76%. I've done the usual business of not syncing too many apps, turning off as much as possible in the apps and extras dept.. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Please respond if you actually have the new phone and are willing to help. Really not interested in opinions or why I should have gotten a different phone. Thank you!

How's the cell signal where you are? Poor signal will contribute to battery drain.

Like previous poster had mentioned signal strength can have allot to do with it. I'm at over 70% with 2 hours of screen time used. I go to work at 6 am and when i get home at 4pm with moderate use I'm around 40% and that's using lte

Good call. Never thought about signal. I definitely notice the signal constantly trying for LTE.

What carrier do you have? See if you can get a signal booster from them for free.

Sprint. Yes, I know they're at the bottom of the bunch, but they took my AT&T bill which averages $110 a month down to $36 a month. Same exact plan. I couldn't pass it up, regardless of the carrier.

Had this phone for a week and like everything about the phone except the battery which is average at best. Over the last week ive mainly been at home on wifi and the phone just seems really thirsty on the battery.

Im hoping 5.1 update, will help at little and the fast charge does make the battery drain bearable.

Not bad here

I'm having same issue with battery drain and the famous overheating. 3hrs of battery usage, with minimal use (Web browsing, text messaging, YouTube). And once it heats up, it starts to throttle down, low brightness, lagging UX, etc. Very frustrating.

Brought it back to LG, they are going to see if it's the motherboard issue and will replace them for me.

Really love the phone, sad that have to go through all those. Waiting to get my phone back from LG.

Let us know how it turns out. Having horrific battery drain...

Got mine back from the service centre, can't say much has change. The board was replaced, battery discharging seems OK but I think it could be better. Multitasking with Web browsing (with stable wifi or 4g) drains battery quite quickly.

The heating up; I guess just have to get use to it, it's still happening. Hopefully LG comes up with some update soon.

Agreed. I can literally watch the percentage drain in a matter of minutes... Sad one has to keep a charger at the ready.

And I'm not sure if it's just me, but do you noticed that the fast charger doesn't really charge fast? I had a note 4 before, and that did charge pretty quickly.

I'm not sure if the voltage of the LG adaptor is lesser than Samsung's.... Or the phone itself is configured in such a way

Was thinking of getting the Samsung fast charging adaptor, see if it juices up better.

Yeah, my charger isn't exactly lightening... But it is noticeably faster than a standard charger.

Can I check when you connect the OEM 'quick charge' charger, will there be any indication on the phone that a quick charge charger is connected?

Like Samsung note 4, when you connect a quick charge charger it will say "fast charging...". When you attach any other charger, it will just charge without displaying anything.

Cause I'm getting the feel that it could be a faulty charger, my power bank is charging similarly to when I charge using the OEM quick charge charger. It should charge considerably faster than any power bank I'd feel.

Haven't had any issue with battery drain, in fact I feel the battery life is better than on my g3 I had previously. I'm on at&t though so that could be a factor.

Hi I only bought my phone a few weeks ago and am having serious battery drain even with a good signal and Wi-Fi. I have the 5.1.1. Any advice?
