Serious question

I have root on my S3 with Stock Rom. I use QBking root method. Can i just un root received OTA and recover all my apps and settings from an nandroid back up.

I just unrooted did the ota and rerooted and all my apps were still there,every thing was the same im on the stock rom.

I havent done no update from day one.

Hmmmm, probably better then to just unroot and wait for the phone to prompt you on the OTA's. I believe there have been two since that build number.

After that you should just be able to run TeamEpic-Root-from-Recovery-v5 to restore root. If you're running stock none of the prior steps should affect your apps or settings so there should be no reason to flash a nandroid.

thanks just did unroot as per QBKing video and phone is telling me is up-to date. everything looks the same as before just no SUPERUS.

Just flash TeamEpic-Root-from-Recovery-v5 again and you should be good to go.

One thing to do before you re-root is check the About Device option in the Settings menu, and confirm that you're on the newest update. When LF9 was rolled out (before I even got my phone in my hand), I had rooted before it was pushed to my phone, and so I unrooted, and saw the same thing - that my phone was reporting it was up-to-date. In reality it was not on LF9. The update should be stored on the root of the device, and you can apply it via CWM Recovery.

Can someone please tell me what is the latest and greatest ? i did two update after i remove root. just want to make sure i'm running smoothly
