Server Busy Comcast POP3 Account

Hi All,

Samsung Noob here...came over from Blackberry, so be kind.

I got 2 Continuums and a Fascinate. Here is my problem. I am trying to create a POP3 Mail ID to comcast on the Continuum. I have the address, ID and PW correct. For the last 2 days I have been trying to create this account and I get "server busy try again later (108)". Verizon tech support cannot give me answer on this one.

What is really interesting is I can create this account no problem on my Fascinate. The phone will not let me do a manual setup of my servers, so I am kinda stuck.

Again, I am a noob to the droid OS, but not cell phones and POP3 mail clients.
Anybody got some insight on this , please share.

I had a similar problem with yahoo.... I tried everything and it wouldn't allow me to log in. I finally did a reset and that's what fix it.

Logged the account via Outlook and the comcast.net site. Robooted the phone yesterday and again just now. Now I'm getting and Internal error (100)
A Verizon CSR told me he saw this yesterday on a Continumm when trying to create a comcast account. He assumed it was on Comcast's end.

I'm getting email from comcast on my Fascinate and setup this account on that phone in 30 seconds. Right, now I'm on perpetual hold with Verizon.

Yeah ive been having the same problem with all 3 of my email account ive done everything and nothing works
 
The saga continues... I called Verizon yesterday. They admitted there was a problem,but it was on samsung's end. I got Samsung on an IM for almost an hour and stumped them. I got the 800 number to call tonite. There is very little on this if you do a google search. I cannot create a comcast POP3 or a Yahoo mail account on this phone.

I am having the same problem with my Continuum. Did you get any response from Samsung on the issue?
 
Update...

I finally called Samsung Tech support. The tech had me hard reset the phone. That does not work. His response was exchange the phone for one that works.

I did find a work around. Load K-9 Mail from the market. It's free and it loaded my comcast account no problem. I was up and running with K-9 in less than a minute. I am going to Verizon and return the phone for a new one anyway. They understand costs involved in returned phones and they can fight with Samsung.
 
I'm not sure of your exact situation, but have you looked into having gmail pull your pop3 account mail. This works to somewhat "unify" your mail into one inbox, your gmail inbox, on your phone. You have some options on how reply messages behave and some other settings.

The only thing i may point out is that there is not an easy way to dictate the pull interval in google account settings. So mail sent to my comcast account may take 15+ minutes to arrive sometimes, but for me this is not an issue.
